Is a metallic smell in my vagina a sign I’ll get my period?

Hello! I missed my period. It’s been 33-34 days since my last period. My cycle typically lasts 28-29 days. I’m wondering when I should start thinking about taking a pregnancy test. Typically, almost always, I have a metallic, bloody odor during the days leading up to my period. I’ve been having the odor for the last week or so, metallic and bloody as usual, but no period. Is the metallic and bloody odor a sign that I will get my period? Or can I have that odor but be pregnant?

I think you can take a pregnancy test right now since it has been enough time it sounds like.  Your period is now 'over due'.  Did you have unprotected sex last month?  If the metallic smell is your norm before a period, it could mean it is coming, yes.  And all women are late from time to time. Common reasons include stress and changes in routine (and you know, holidays are often both of those) as well as illness, weight gain or loss, etc.  So, definitely, you can get a positive test 2.5 weeks after a last sexual episode or around when your period is due, so you can take one now.  Come back and let me know the outcome!

Still haven’t gotten my period. But the metallic smell persists. How late can I be before truly worrying about a pregnancy? I’m currently 36 days since my last period.

Okay, gotten your period as of yet??   How about just taking a pregnancy test?  These can be bought almost anywhere.  Even the dollar store.  I'd say it has been enough time that you'd get a positive if pregnant at this point.  When was the last time you had unprotected sex?
