Is there a chance...?

There's need for a little back story so bear with me please lol My periods have been so crazy and irregular the past five months or so. First it was if I had sex I'd bleed two days after for about four days. Then recently it's been if I have sex, I won't get my period at all for whatever reason. There is something wrong with me because my groin lymph nodes are very swollen and I'm in pain (severe cramping and it feels as if my ovaries are paining) but I'm not sure what it is because when I went to see what was wrong, my gynecologist didn't give me an exam. He gave me birth control and told me to start taking it the day of my period. Okay now. I had sex the 13th of February (last period was January 14th) and my period was supposed to happen the 15th of this month. I still have not gotten my period but I am cramping and in a lot more pain than usual. I took a pregnancy test a few days ago and it was negative but did I take it too early? Could I be pregnant or do you think I'm not getting my period because of whatever is wrong with my lady area? Oh and I do not have any other pregnancy "symptoms." No breast tenderness, feeling sick, fatigue, peeing a lot more. I don't have any of that. Sorry this is so long. Just worried over here! Would love feed back.

I haven't started the BC yet because my doc said to take it on the first day of my period but I haven't gotten it yet /:
