Kicks but negative tests

Hi. I have a baby who is over 8 months old, and he is still breast fed and nurses about 5 times during the day and at least twice at night. I have been taking the progestin only mini-pill since he was a month old, but there have been times where I was late taking the pill or completely missed it but my husband and I had sex without a condom and don't use Plan B. (And, for those of you who don't know, the mini-pill must be taken within the same 3 hours every day or it won't work, and if you are late you are supposed to use a condom for three days and if you miss it you can't double up and must use a condom for 7 days.) I have not had a period since I got pregnant the first time, which is weird because most women get it back in less than four months after giving birth. Six weeks ago I started trying to lose weight with lots of exercise and the maximum amount of dieting you can do while nursing, but I have not lost a single pound. About two weeks ago, I started feeling little flutters in my lower belly. I passed them off as gas or spasms because I've been eating more fresh veggies, but the flutters have gotten more distinct and happen many times during the day now. Sometimes they feel more like distinct little kicks. Sometimes if I press my hand really deep into my lower belly I think I can feel little flutters. I was able to feel my last baby move between 10 and 12 weeks into my pregnancy, and didn't start to show until almost 4 months. I took two home pregnancy tests, about a week and a half apart, but both came back negative. I was wondering if this could be a surprise pregnancy and if I should go see my midwife?

The last couple days now I've been experiencing cramping like you do the day before your period starts, but I don't have my period back yet. And, for one moment, I thought I saw the teensiest bit of blood or spotting when I wiped... I know, TMI, but just saying because it might be important. It's been real light cramps, on and off, for about three days, but today it is a little stronger.

Hi there.  Well, I didn't get my period for a full year after birth as I was nursing and this is the case with the majority of my friends who nursed their children.  So, if you are breast feeding, not getting your period is normal (and a nice perk).

I also lost no weight when nursing.  I felt 'bloated'.  Once I stopped nursing, my weight came off.

I am guessing you are not pregnant.  And you've taken a pregnancy test which says as such.  If your still seriously wondering if you are, go see your doctor for blood work.  That doesn't lie and you'll know for sure.

good luck hon and enjoy your little one.

Oh and I've had really bad headaches the last two weeks and I got lots of headaches during my last pregnancy. And I've been super tired lately. I'm exhausted all the time and have a really hard time sleeping.

To add to my question:
I had very distinct, textbook morning sickness with my last pregnancy. The longer I slept in, the less likely I was to actually throw up, and I was nauseous for about 2 hours after getting up, and for a little while after I ate anything really strong tasting/smelling or after exercising. Now I occasionally feel slightly nauseous at random times but not consistent or distinct like before. I also have to go to the bathroom a lot lately, but I have been trying to drink more water so I don't know if that's the reason. This is also very personal, but my vaginal discharge has been kind of thick and has a bit of a funny smell just recently, but I don't have any reason to think it's a bladder or yeast infection. And my breasts don't seem to be that much more sensitive, but they feel funny when I nurse sometimes and I don't know if it's because my son's new teeth (that just came out last week) are chafing or if they actually are more sensitive.
