Is 3 days too long to be implantation bleeding? Stopped taking the pill after my last period. And then got what I thought was the next one between 2-3 weeks later but strangely only lasted 3 days when normally lasts at least 5-6 days. The color started brown and maybe ended with a lighter color then usual but otherwise seemed kinda normal other then being wayy shorter.. Also fun fact-had unprotected sex maybe 5 days after then and again maybe 3-4 days after last period/stopped taking pills. I'm trying to tell the difference between if my symptoms are from getting off the pill.. or pregnancy.. Since then its been almost a month, if i'm not pregnant, then how long is this crap supposed to last its not everyday but on and off breast tenderness, nausea, exhaustion pretty much everyday, and cramping and tightening in the pelvic area not horrible but enough, currently anxiety and light headed woozy feeling a little faint. The only thing keeping me from thinking im pregnant is the fact im pretty sure i had my period..just SERIOUSLY shorter and quicker. All im looking for is if someone can tell me if their is a distinct symptom that differentiates going off the pill from being pregnant to shed some light and knowledge. I am going to the doctors Thursday so going to get a test then.. but hopefully wont be too early if anything anyways!

ok so new update...
I am gaining weight like no tomorrow!
I have put on 7 pounds in the last month alone...
I used to be overweight years ago and I'm afraid to tumble back into that...
Its really stressing me out :(
Im not sleeping properly anymore, everything just seems blah, and I've been feeling like this for over a week now... husband is concerned but supportive.
I have my pelvic ultrasound today in about 5 hours, gotta drink lots of water. I cant help but to feel overwhelmed and really worried that something is terribly wrong with me...
and I absolutely HATE that the people who are testing you dont tell you what they see! *grr* >.>
wish me luck!
xoxo
Oh well that's good for you that you're not pregnant so you can finish your schooling.
The cramping, no period and lower back pain could be from the UTI as well. Those are not nice to have. Nausea could be from coming off the pill. I never had that, but everyone is different.
Good luck with everything.
LOL yep neighbours! :P
Hello!
So the blood test was negative, but i did get booked in for an ultrasound for this Wednesday, I have light cramps that just wont go away, still no period.
Doc said this is probably due to pill withdrawal, however my urine sample also said i have a UTI (wouldnt even have known!), so i am on antibiotics for that as well.
will keep u posted on what turns up!
owen sound, we're like neighbours! :P
Any news on your results yet?
Keep us posted!
Hey you're from Mississauga. I'm from Owen Sound. A couple hours away from you.
Thanks!

i know what you mean, im studying my final year of psychology in University, and that definately can happen.
which is what makes this worse for me.
I tell myself im NOT pregnant, so that i dont feel symptoms...
but what to do when they appear anyways?
ive noticed the last few evenings ive been feeling nautious, even threw up a bit tonight, and ive had lower back pain on and off.
*sigh* i had the blood test yesterday, will be getting the results soon.
will keep you updated!
Goodluck with ttc!
Xoxo
I wouldn't say it's not possible, but blood tests would be more accurate then an HPT
I was on the pill for 4 - 4.5 years before I went off them. Had some health issues to deal with before I got pregnant again. I think they're fairly under control now, so that's why we decided to start trying again. Doctor said it was okay to try anyway.
Also keep in mind if you keep thinking you're pregnant, your body can mimic symptoms of pregnancy. I've seen women thinking they're pregnant, vomiting, nausea etc... and turn out not to be, so you have to watch that.
thanks guys!
do you know if its possible to have a negative blood test and still be pregnant? i know of a girl who claimed thats what happened to her and she didnt know she was pregnant until her 3rd month.
@shannon79, how long were you on the pill for before you got off? because i have not been taking them very long. i had stopped between once before as well and my period came right on time, very heavy flow, lots of cramps, but atleast i knew my body was still normal. but this time after getting off, its a completely different experience.
I would say it could be the pills. When I came off the pill, my period was 2 weeks late. Here I was thinking I was pregnant, taking pregnancy tests and getting negatives. I would get the blood test though and check with the doctor just to be certain.
Good luck
it could be bcoz of the pills i wouls say check with the doctor just to be safe.
