Pregnant at 47????

Ok all!  I am totally freaking out here.  I am 47 years old.  It has been many years since I paid any attention to my cycle other than to think about when I might be having a heavy flow.  The first day of my last period was May 1st.   We had a slip up on May 9th.  My first thoughts were:  I am too old to get pregnant and then that I couldn't possibly be ovulating so soon.  I began reading about ovulation and realized that my heavy, slippery discharge started on the 8th and was still happening the morning of the 10th.  I checked it on the 10th and found it to be stretchy as well.  The last two days I have had some mild discomfort and bloating in my lower abdomen.
I am now driving myself absolutely crazy.  One minute I think I couldn't possible be due to my age and being so early in my cycle and the next I feel sure that the bloating symptoms are early pregnancy signs.
I guess I am just looking for some thoughts and comments while I wait for these days to drag by before I can test.
Any input is appreciated.

Were you pregnant? How did it go?  Here I am 47 and found out I was pregnant. Who would think that at this point in life I could still get pregnant.

Some persons at your age can get pregnant depending on your body.  The feeling you have can be as a result of other illnesses and it could also be a mind thing. Try and do a pregancy test to prove or disprove your feelings.
