Hayden was due April 25th, but decided he was coming out on December 17th for some reason. I had the perfect pregnancy. No spotting/bleeding or leaking of any fluids the entire time. Very few Braxton Hicks. He was VERY active... So active, I started feeling him swimming around at 10 weeks. I didn't drink or smoke. Did everything I was supposed to. All of my lab work came back excellent, including the AFP's, and NT. Every ultrasound I had at the high risk OB (due to the quality of their machine) and was told that he was a VERY well developed baby and looked incredibly healthy. No deformities what-so-ever. If everything was so perfect, why did I go into labor that night? My doc says I don't have an incompetent cervix and that he was a force of nature and just wanted out for some reason. I'm still waiting on pathology. But has this ever happened to any of you so late in the pregnancy?? Giving live birth spontaneously too early? I just don't get it. I've accepted that he's gone. One more week and he would have had a 60% chance of survival. God obviously decided he wasn't meant to be. I'm ok with that. But I just don't understand why...
