Gender Ultrasound Apts!!

Hi Everybody! I was just wondering if anyone has found out the gender of their baby yet or scheduled an appointment for it? I had mine made yesterday for Nov. 10th :) The countdown begins..I cant wait so I can stop shopping!

we found out on the 24th we are having another boy!!! FINALLY! this will make 10 girls and 4 boys!

I had the level 2 ultrasound and found out that I am having a girl.  The doctor couldn't see the aorta of the heart.  I am trying not to worry.  She made me upset by saying "I could have a therapeutic abortion".  I am 19 weeks.  I have to go back the day after Thanksgiving to find out if the baby has the aorta.  It might be the baby was too small to see it.

Thanks so much for the explanation.  I've had three ultrasounds performed already and they only lasted about 15 min, so I doubt I'll be having a level 2.  Happy to hear your ultrasound was great! Thanks and good luck :)

A level 2 is a more specific ultrasound where they check the anatomy and look for abnormalities. They also check for soft markers for Downs and such. It is done with a more experienced tech and takes about an hour and a half. I seen the tech first, who did the ultrasound, then a doctor came in and looked at it again. I just had mine last week and the reason it was done was because of my age, I will be 35 when my son is born. Four years ago when I was pregnant, they didn't do it because I was under 35. Part of the level 2, at least around where I live, is also talking to a genetic counselor to assess your risk of abnormalities. Luckily, my ultrasound was perfect, except for a low lying placenta.

Wish I didn't have to wait so long, but my doc insists that I be a full 20 weeks for the ultrasound.  How do you know if it's a level 2?  I'm dying to find out!! Baby has been moving since the end of week 15 (i'm 17 weeks 1 day) and it's awesome!  So, with all of this being said, next appointment is Dec. 9 for ultrasound and doc. appt. Happy waiting ladies :)

ugh so there was a mix up at Dr. office and the nurse didnt update how far along i was after last ultrasound so now i have to wait till Dec. 3rd to find out :( o well lol 2 more weeks !!!

I found out two weeks ago that my husband and I are having a boy!!

Not sure if I updated or not - hubby and I decided that we did not want to see the sex. We had a 3D ultrasound done and we were sure we saw some boy parts, but then when we came home and watched the DVD they gave us, we don't see clear boy parts anymore. I have posted my pics - lemme know what you all thing - they are in my profile pics and there should be one of the legs :)  Hope everyone is doing well.

sorry lol i just saw mines up there for the 17th and Dec 2nd and they made apt for te 17th at last d. apt. i was just guessing when i said dec 2 cuz that was suppose to be nxt norm dr. apt i didnt know this ultrasound wouldnt b with my dr. and stuff sorry

We found out today that we are having another girl.
We have a 2 year old girl and I really thought this one was going to be a boy because this pregnancy was so different to my daughter, carrying lower, heart rate slower, was not sick one bit, intelligender said boy, draino said boy, chinese gender charts said boy.
We are still happy though, I just feel sorry for my other half because hes going to be over run with oestrigeon and periods lol

We just found out yesterday that we are having a BOY!  I'm still kind of in shock.  I was so sure it was a girl.  There go all my theories about the differences of being pregnant with one or the other :)  The best part is that all looks healthy and is measuring to date :)  I did do the on-line gender test (where you look up your age and the birth month) and it predicted a girl.  The HB on the first ultra sound was higher, which apparently also points to a girl.  We already have a 3 year old daughter so having one of each will really be a lot of fun.  We are thrilled.
