Lets get to know each other!

So I figured since we are all going through this together and talk on here we should get to know each other. I'll go first! Im 22 and this is my first baby..its a boy. He was an accident but a pleasant one. I've been with my boyfriend for over 4 years. Im graduating in may with a mircobiology degree & then taking a year off then back to school to be a Physicians Assistant. I work part time as a receptionist & CNA. My bf is an electrical engineer and we are currently in the process of finding a house to buy. We want to buy something big & old to fix up bc he is VERY handy & can either do all the work himself or knows someone who can. Im enjoying pregnancy minus always being tired & feeling huge!!!

Hi,  This is fun getting to know you girls.  I feel ancient  here .  I am 40 and DH is 39.  DH and I have been together 9 years, married for 7 years.  For the first 6 years we travelled around the globe and had fun.  Early 09 we decided to start a family.  As I could hear that clock ticking like crazy we started out by visiting an RE.  We are at that point in life where we are settled in our careers and financilally secure (being older).  DH is a software engineer and I have a degree in Hospitality Administration.  I head the Event and Meeting Planning division of a healthcare co.  So I have to travel a lot but fortunately I have been able to avoid that in teh last year.  Delegation, delegation, delegation.  We are expecting a baby girl in on Apr 26th.  Her name is Evelyn Amala after both our grandmoms.  Her nursery is all ready and we cannot wait to have her with us.

Im 20 yrs old, and 22 weeks pregnant with my first baby... Its a boy. Cole Patrick. I have been with my finacee since Febuary, but have known him since i was 12, we were each others first loves, but we always got seperated growing up. But now were getting married after the baby gets here. Im due May 7th!!! We are currently looking for a bigger apartment for our son. Not gonna be buying a house for a couple years. We live in michigan but will be going to flordia, where his family is in a bout 3 years or so.  Our son was def. a planned baby. We were trying to get pregnant since March, and ended up getting pregnant in August.  Im currently not working, but my fiancee takes care of everything for me. I dont know what i would do without him.  I felt my baby boy move about 2 weeks ago, and it was amazing. He wont move when his father tries to feel it, which i think drives my fiancee crazy, but i just tell him to wait a couple more weeks and he will def. feel it.  But yes this was a very good idea. I like to read about everyones pregnancy and ask questions and learn new stuff every time i get on here.

i agree, this is a really good idea...im glad you did this williow ..i like reading about everyone!
So truthfully i am having a May baby....May 1st but i honestly like hanging out with you guys a lot better because it seems like everyone in the May group is due far into may and there isnt a lot of action on that forum lol...besides my baby could still be born in April!
that being said I'm 20 and my DF is 21 and we've been together for 5 and 1/2 years. This is our first baby and he's a boy to be named Matthew Aaron. I'm taking online courses in early childhood development to become a kindergarten teacher which i'll be done with in about a year. Previously ive been working as a nanny but currently am not because im a high risk pregnancy due to bad asthma and many many stomach problems that ive had since childhood. in the short, my digestive system shuts down randomly due to an unknown cause and my stomach stops emptying and my intestines stop moving. So everytime this happens i have to be admitted, have my stomach pumped and be fed intraveiniously until my stomach just kicks back in again. i spent most of my childhood in a hospital bed and we still arent sure how my body will react to the pregnancy...the father along i get the more nervous i become. but i have a very large team of specialist standing by just in case :) we we'rent sure if id ever be able to get pregnant because of all the issues but now here i am 21 weeks pregnant and nothing going wrong but the asthma so i have a feeling my little boy is my miracle baby! DF is finishing his last year up in college to become a software engineer and is doing very well thus far. we also have a little 7 pound dog named Cara...we love her dearly..she lights up our days.
im just noticing i wrote a book!! haha Merry Christmas everyone!!

Great idea willow! I agree- it is nice to get to know everyone!

i will be 26 in January and 21 weeks pregnant with our first baby-boy!  my husband and i got married in june and found out we were pregnant at the end of august. we definitely weren't planning this, but we weren't really taking precautions to prevent pregnancy.  this is a blessing and i'm very thankful for this pregnancy! after a surgery in 2005 and hormonal therapy, i was told i would have a hard time conceiving.  that was wayyy off!  we're currently living in indiana while my husband is finishing a dual masters program and graduates a week after our due date.  then, hopefully we'll move back to austin, texas (where i'm from) and start our life there!  i have completed college half-way and was planning to start nursing school in the fall, but may have to reconsider our timeline.   i'm sad to be pregnant so far away from my family, but my husband is wonderful (even though he's very busy with work and school.)  i'm ready for our baby to get here!

I'm 19 and pregnant with my first baby...boy!! My husband and I got married on August 8th of this year. We did not know that I was pregnant when we got married but we are still overly excited about it! My husband is active duty in the US Army and we are stationed at White Sands Missile Range, NM. As of right now he is set to deploy on April 25, 2010. Though we are both sad that he will be deploying shortly after the baby is born we are glad that he will be here for the birth! I am currently taking online classes for Business Administration but I am still unsure if this is the path for me. I hope everyone's pregnancy's are going well!!

Good idea willow!! IT's nice to know a lil more about the women we are sharing this journey with!

I'm 28 and pregnant with our 1st child- a boy! I just celebrated my 3rd wedding anniversary with my husband yesterday and while we didn't think we'd get pregnant so soon, we deliberately stopped preventing pregnancy in June and got pregnant in July!!! We're moving back to our home state of Arkansas in 5 weeks and are excited to be encoutering so many challenges and are grateful for all the blessings!

I'm 27 (just turned 27 today!! yahoOo.. it's my lucky number) and am 21 weeks pregnant with my first child.. had a miscarriage right before this one at about 6 weeks.. but then conceived again two weeks later.  My husband is 25, we're both professional chefs and are living in Halifax, Nova Scotia.  I had planned on a midwife and doula assisted birth, but due to local midwife overload (they just got government regulated here and received an influx of new patients) I now reluctantly have a obgyn and a fannnntastic doula who promises me that she'll lock the nurses out of the room for as long as possible during the birth... hahaha...   not that they'll stick around long anyway with me cursing at the top of my lungs as I go through an unmedicated labour.

I'm 28 and 21 weeks pregnant with my first child (boy!)  DH and I have been married for 2 1/2 years, but living together for almost 6.  I'm a teacher and just got my Masters in Liberal arts last year.  This baby was VERY planned (fertility procedures) so we are SO happy he's on his way!  :-)  I have heart issues, so being pregnant makes DH and me kind of nervous occasionally (going on a 21 day home heart monitor starting today..apparently I failed the 24 hour one) but so far I haven't had any Real problems with it. We'll see what the doctor says.

I am 34 with a 3 1/2 year old son and am 24 weeks pregnant with another boy. DH and I have been married for almost 15 years. For the first five years of our marriage we traveled and just had fun, didn't want to be tied down with house or family. We began trying to conceive when I was 25 and bought our first house. I had my first son at 31 and I had a miscarriage last year 2008 (in August) at 11 weeks, so have been a little nervous throughout this pregnancy. I have a bachelor's degree in psychology and English and work from home as a writer.

wow. All I can say is props to you, sista.

I'm 23 and this is my 3rd baby. I've been with my boyfriend since 2003. I made it through three years of college as a surgical technology student, but due to a combination of financial stress, post partum depression, and child care issues, I was forced to quit. I really want to be an RN but now that I'm saddled down with 3 children and tapped out financial loans I don't think it will happen for me. I have quite a bit of college under my belt, but alas - no cigar. If I could give you any advice it would be to get as much school done when your son is very young. Trust me you'll regret it if you put it off. I hope you have a good support system, because I never thought I'd need one until the past few years and since I have no one but the family I made, life and anything I want to accomplish is exceedingly difficult. I am happy for you though ... I love Microbiology. they were my favorite classes back in college.
