Thousand year old eggs safe or not?

I'm 20 weeks pregnant and want to know if its safe to eat thousand year old eggs (a Chinese delicacy)?

Omigosh!! :(  I had a few bites of it and didn't even realize it until afterwards since it was chopped up and mixed with rice soup. Eeeekkk!!! I hope nothing bad happens... Thx for the response Jager

Personslly I wouldn't. There could be bacteria, it could be prepared wrong... just like with sushi. I think its better to wait until you deliver
