how much did baby weigh at 28 weeks?

At 27w5d baby measured 2 pounds 11 ounces. & Measuring about 29w3d. Im terrified of having a BIG baby, considering im a FTM, 4'11 and was only 110 before I got pregnant. Could my due date just be miscalculated? Anyone else have baby weigh around this much, around this time? How big was babys birth weight?

Oh also, i've been expressing my big baby concern since the day I got pregnant this time around and my doctor simply explained it as, some women just have big babies, its genetics. Doesn't matter how tiny I am, how tiny my husband is, what I eat, if genetically the gene is there, the baby will be on the bigger side. So sometimes it's just nature! And I am destined for large babies!

I am terrified of having another big baby! I had my Son 5 years ago and my entire pregnancy they told me he was "average". Three days before I delivered they scanned me and told me he was approximately 7.2. Well he came out 9.4! And I am 5'0" 100 pounds pre pregnancy! So those ultrasounds and approximations are not always correct. My best friend is a technician and she says its very common for them to be off since it's so difficult to measure accurately.
So now that I'm 28 weeks pregnant with a girl, I am SO concerned about having another big baby. At my 20 week ultrasound she weighed approximately 10/11 oz which they told me was normal. I haven't had an ultrasound since but my friend is scanning me next weekend so very anxious to see how big she is since for a tiny woman my stomach feels HUGE! I saw my doctor two weeks ago at 26 weeks and she said the baby should be around 2 pounds, but who knows! Just keep stressing your concern and hopefully they will take it seriously! Good luck!

Well how long are your cycles? If you have 28 day cycles then the edd based on your last menstrual period should be correct.  If your cycles are short then you could be a few days farther along.

Yes, I never think my docotors seemed concerned about how big he is, but do say that I may have him sooner than my due date. Hopefully we have normal size babies!
