Sharp Butt Pain?

This might seem a little weird but I asked a few friends who've been pregnant and they have no idea what I'm talking about. Sometimes when my baby moves I'll get this horrible awful cringing breath taking sharp pain in my butt. (Basically my butthole pretty much) And its TERRIBLE!! It makes me cry usually and its happening more and more often. Doss anyone else get this pain or have had the pain?

Omg i thought i was the only one ive been having the same pain in my butt it hurts so bad to the point it stops me from doing whatever im doing at the time it literally makes me want to cry i cant deal lol it started my 37week im 38weeks now

I'm 37 weeks and 4 days and I just had this happen to me last night for the first time. I was thinking "can contractions go all the way down to your butt?!"

Thank god I'm not the only one!! Thanks ladies!(: And I've been getting it for a few months but now its almost every day and it just stops me in my tracks and takes my breath away. Its horrible!

Yes this happens to me also. I think it's just the baby hitting nerves that we didn't even know we had. It's like "lightning crotch" but in the butt.

This literally just happened to me! It's pretty normal I think it's happened to me a few times during both my pregnancies.  Must just be baby rolling on nerves and what not.

I'm thinking I'm in labor but I have had those butt pains for months now. But being in labor my a$$ hole might fall out like this is the most pain I have ever had in my butt the pressure is WOW. I don't mean to scare any one. Just wanted to let you know.

This happened to me too! I didn't have to poop or anything (sorry tmi) I was just walking around the grocery store and had sharp pains

I've also been having this happen. I noticed it only happens when I need to go poo.

Omg! Lol. Never heard that before but it sounds horrible!! Are you constipated? Maybe the baby is pushing on it and causing pain that way?? I don't know. If its super bad I'd call the dr just to see if they've heard anything like that and can offer suggestions. Hope it ends soon!
