induction..

Ive got an induction date for this friday. Ive never wanted to get induced  due to all the horrible stories I've heard .but my doctors out of town all next week and i dont want anyone else delivering my daughter. Does anyone have any positive induction stories? Im a ftm and im currently freaking out.

I was induced with my first because my water broke and no signs of natural labour. I have an appointment tomorrow morning (39 weeks) and am asking to be induced as soon as possible! All induction is, is introducing a synthetic hormone to start labour. Your body take control after that.

Don't stress over it, if you not getting pain meds it's going to hurt. Whether you were induced or not. I see allot of people freaking out about how hard induction will be, but is everyone forgetting that your pushing a baby out your gina? Lol it's going to hurt a wholeee lot! Even natural labour.

Not trying to scare people, but just actually take some stress away! Induction is not so bad.

Have a safe delivery and take advantage that you know when baby's coming! :)

I was induced. It was horrible only becauae they didn't give me my epidural right away. I was having contractions not even a minute apart. That was the only worst thing i could say about it.

I have been in duped with both of my previous pregnancies with no issues..  They will break your water and then give you a drug called pitocin that will start your contractions and your labor should progress normally from that point on.  If it doesn't they will increase your pitocin some more  but I didn't have any issues.  Try not to worry..  I'm sure it will all go smoothly.

I'm actually curious about this too... I'm a FTM being induced tom! Good luck on Friday! My sister n laws sister was induced & said it wasn't bad at all, was in labor for 8 hrs. Same with a gf of mine... She was induced with both her daughters & said she was scared going in too but wasn't near as bad as she kept imagining it would be. So we should be good! I'll post my story after it happens for ya tom! :)
