labor story!

so i was due april 15. at my previous appointments i hadnt made any progress so i went in on the 14th and got the foley catheter balloon. it didnt help me progress so with the help of pitocin the next morning at 530, i dilated to 4 or 5. by 7pm that night still no progress. my cervix had to be broken. i had horrible back labor all day and decided to get an epidural thank god i did or id not been able to stand the pain from the dr breaking my cervix. well things soon got crazy, my bp was bottoming and they were pumping meds in me to bring it up. the babys heart rate was bottoming and dr said in my next set of contractions i had to get her out. i pushed with all i had and ended up with busted blood vessels in my face, shoulders, neck and arms. i was scared to death. i got the baby out in 3 or 4 pushes and her cord.was wrapped twice. the nurses laid her on my chest and kept rubbing her with the blankets trying to get her to breathe. she wouldnt. the used a bag valve mask to try to help her and rushed her to the nursery. they called in a pediatrician who got there in what seemed like 5 minutes and by the time she got there my beautiful baby girl had pulled out of it and was doing fine. she was born at 8:53 pm on april 15, weighed 8lb 6.4oz and was 21 1/2 in long. her name is madison mikalen hunter. my first baby girl was born in 2009 at the exact same time, exact same lenght and weighed 3.oz less than baby 2 at 8 lb 3.4 oz. im a blessed mother of 2 healthy beautiful girls!
