So frustrating!!

So I think I'm 7+4 weeks (I haven't had a period since my last miscarriage so I don't know for sure) and I started spotting brown 2 days ago. I managed to get in to see my doctor today. He said it was probably implantation bleeding but he was going to send me for an early ultrasound to date the pregnancy, and to allow me to hear the heartbeat so I'm not panicking about the spotting. The ultrasound clinic calls this afternoon to set up an appointment for 3 weeks from now. I tell her if she can get me in sooner that that would be great and she says that there isn't a point because I'm not far enough along and that I should date my pregnancy by my last period. Hello? I'm pregnant not stupid. At 7+4 you should be able to hear a heartbeat which was the reason here.. after arguing with me on the phone, I'm stuck with worrying for the next 3 weeks about whether or not I get to keep this pregnancy. So frustrating!

Exactly! They can see something at this point.. I managed to get a scan scheduled for Tuesday, so only a few days of waiting.

I had a scan at 5 weeks and could see the gestational sack and a heartbeat. I had spotting similar to you so was checked out by the early pregnancy clinic because I too had miscarried a few months before.

Update! I called my doctors office back and explained my worries and they agreed that they thought I would get in sooner so they called themselves and made them reschedule me for sooner.

I think they do that because the disappearing twin can occur. Usually at 10 weeks+ it's safer and already gone if that occurred. My uncle announced twins years ago based on the early ultrasound much to his wifes dismay. They ended up with one, the other disappeared.

That's why as eager as I am, I'm waiting a few more weeks since I really want twins. I don't want that to happen to me either and be disappointed that one disappeared.
