I would donate it but I will not store it for our own use, as the chance of using it is very low.

I haven't decided yet.  Considering that my hubby is adopted and has Crohn's disease, the cord blood cells may be used to help him at some point, but I have heard that it's expensive.  Guess I'll just have to ask for more information and weigh the facts.

I go back and forth on this one. The odds of you needing the cord blood are so slim it's not a good investement, however that said if you have that .001% need how horrible would you feel if you didn't do it.

I am doing it this time. I didn't get to with my 1st 2 kids, so I'm doing with this last one... It is quite expensive but so worth it to me.

I know that it is really expensive and I have heard of people doing it if they themselves or a child they already have can benefit from it.  I do think you can donate it though to help others.  I think it would be a great thing to do, but it is really expensive...

didn't get to do it with my first... she came before we could really read everything and decide. Honestly, most of what i have read indicated that it is not worth paying the money to bank yours. However, in the interest of advancing medical knowledge, I will look in to donating it this time.
