Restless Nights

Aubrey is 4 months now. Up until this point she has been a wonderful sleeper. 1 or 2 times up in the night- but would fall right asleep once we put her to bed.
Lately- past 3 days or so and still continuing, she has been giving us a real hard time. We will rock her to sleep but as soon as we stop she will just start balling.
When she wakes its not for a feeding because she wont take the baba.
Through out the day she is unconsolable- just terrible.
This started to happen within the past week

*any advice?

thanks all. shes been doing cereal for about 3 weeks now- i dont think that is the problem. we did just try canned banana baby food today- it went good!
she is still real fussy- but she likes when i put her tutee's (binkys) in the freezer to make oober cold. so you guys are probably right about her teething.
still havent came across any swollen gums but im sure its coming!

thanks everyone!

it could be teething...gracie got her first bottom two teeth at 3 months and she was soooo fussy...what worked for me was putting my finger on her gums and pushing down and rubbing on them...it seemed to help them break through quicker and it was like heaven for gracie!!  i also put an ice cube in a wash cloth and rubbed that on her gums, but the finger thing for me worked a lot better!!  best of luck and hang in there!!  :)

could be teething or irritability associate with a growth spurt. also, if you have started solids, it may be due to the food. if you feed solids in the evening, maybe try earlier in the day. or, if you are doing rice, try oatmeal. you could also eliminate solids for a day or 2 and see if that helps. some babies are ready at 4 months while others aren't. let us know if you find something that works! i'm sure we'll all be there at some point in time.

I would also say that she is probably teething.  They say that before you can even see the teeth that they push in and out and they start teething at around 4 months.
