Sleeping poll....how long does it take you to go back to sleep after you get up to pee?!

Ok, so most nights I have to get up between 1 am and 3 am to use the potty.  Usually it takes me at least an hour to get back to sleep.  Last night I woke up at 2:18 am and did not get back to sleep until 4am!  I normally sleep like a log and fall asleep very fast (within 5 minutes).  I remember this with my first child but that pregnancy was almost 4 years ago!  I almost got up last night to eat or watch TV!  Who else is with me?!

I've only just noticed this thread and I was just saying to my hubby the other day that I'm finding the nights difficult with not sleeping properly - although it's nothing with what I've got in store with twins on the way!! I'm finding that I'm up for the toilet about 2/3 times a night and I just can't get back to sleep for ages, I wonder if it's a sign of what I'll have to get used to!!

I'm sleeping more than I've ever slept before though, I'm generally getting 12 hours a night and occasionally I'll fall asleep in the day!!

I have a 4 month old that used to sleep through the nights getting up about ever hour fussing, so use that time to pee. My hubby has acually caught me sleeping on the toilet, lol.Or nodding off during feedings:( Im always so tired!! I guess im pretty lucky cause as soon as my head hits the pillow im out for at least an hour.

I get up every night between 3am and 4am and have to go.  My dog has caught on to this so she likes to go out to pee at that time too!  I usually read for 30mins to an hour and go back to sleep.  I'm getting used to the routine!

I usually am not able to go back to sleep once I get up to pee. Atleast my "pee time" has moved from 1am to 4 am though. So that helps...

Well you guys are lucky!  Last time I was pregnant at my first u/s my dr said "your bladder is SOOOO small"  When I am not pregnant I get up around five times to pee, so now it is just ridiculous!  Our Jack Russell gets up to pee in the middle of the night and early in the morning...so I agree with li07...it is just training for when the baby arrives!  Oh, we also now buy 2 of the big TP things from Sams club at a time!  And do you want to talk about someone who is not fun on road trips LOL!  I guess it is all worth it...that is what I keep telling myself.

I never normally stir during the night but since being pregnant i have gotten up nearly every night for the toilet and especially more recently it has taken me at least an hour to get back to sleep! last night i was up at 3 for the loo and still looking at the clock at 4:30! i thought it was because i have been less tired lately and because i have been trying to sleep on my side (which i find difficult!). So, im with ya wannabepreggers, although a 4 hours sounds horrible! i guess its good training for when baby arrives? though at the moment i think i would prefer to be well rested?! :)

I have some of the same problem.  I usually get up to pee between 5-7 am, and then I go and lay in bed, and can't fall asleep.  I thought it was because I was thinking too much, or worrying too much.  I also have been having some weird dreams, so that doesn't help much either.

I don't ever have to get up to go potty. For some reason I don't feel the urge to pee any more than before pregnancy. But if I do wake up for some reaon I toss and turn for hours before getting back to sleep.

I have always been a really good sleeper, like you described; fall asleep fast, sleep deeply.  I have had a lot trouble sleeping with this pregnancy.  Its not even that I have to get up to pee (yet), I just have trouble falling asleep and then staying asleep.  Since it's my only "symptom", I guess I really can't complain!
