I actually think the shots are helping, although I am still having contractions. The good news is that my daughter hasnt engaged yet whereas Fionn was at 28 weeks. So there is less pressure on my cervix.
maybe start taking it as easy as possible now (I know that it is hard with a 17 month old) and hopefully if you take it really easy you won't have to go on bedrest. i have a history of preterm labor and have been put on bedrest for 2 out of 3 pregnancies, I am currently pregnant with #4 and of course bedrest would be pretty much impossible for me, because we don't have any family close either and we have a 6, 4, and 2 year old! I have had a few contractions too, but it's going pretty well for the most part. my 1st baby was born at 28 weeks, my 2nd baby was born at 36 weeks and my last baby was bron at 39 week, so it seems to be getting better for me, but it always makes me nervous anyway! I hope things keep going smoothly for you and your baby makes it to atleast 37 weeks!
Just curious.. have you had any side effects from the shots? How are they going for you? I am 5 months and start my shots this week. Wishing you the best!
Big Hugs. Sending you positive thoughts that you will NOT go into pre-term labour and no bedrest at all!
We have no family here. my family are in England and my DH's Ireland. Most of my friends have young children so although they want to help there is only so much they can do. My son is still breastfeeding although I am weaning him, so he is very much attached at the hip.I know we will manage somehow. Thank you for your support.
I am 17 wks and my doctor has me on Bed rest since i was 14wks after a cerclage, i have a 2 yrs old boy and its hard to be on bed rest but not imposible with family help, I hope you don't have to be on bed rest but you need to take care and don't be doing a lot, ask for help within your friends and family, they will understand. I hope everything works for you.
Good luck! I hope you don't have to go on bedrest.
I'll be crossing my fingers for you. It's hard enough having an uncomplicated pregnancy with a toddler to care for.
