NEW CARPET SMELL AND PREGNANCY

HI Everyone,  My work place just installed a new carpet and the smell is driving me crazy.  How bad is this for my pregnancy and if any of you went through pregnancy with a new carpet, was the baby ok?  Just concerned.
Thank you for your answers...

Unfortunately, I would consider that a problem. I'm sure you will be fine and survive ok, but it'd probably be better to get away from it if you can. Try do more research online (if you haven't already) and perhaps find a way if you can get a week away from work or something. New carpet, like a new shower curtain, for example emits chemicals when it's opened and gives them off for at least a few days. Who knows what's sprayed on the carpet or what it's made of to make it durable and free from bugs in storage, or anything else.  Even if your doctor says "it's fine" I would trust your instinct more!

Well I didnt have that experience before but I know when I was pg with my 2nd, my DH made me help him paint the walls in the nursery and I was inhaling paint for the whole pm. I was worried too and tried not to inhale deeply ang got out of the room once in a while for fresh air. Overall the pg went well - and baby was born fine. Why don you put on a mask and try not to inhale too deeply and do go out for fresh air every hour or so?
