Bethanie is here!!! - Birth story

Bethanie Nicole arrived at 2:21 pm on 8/15.  I was induced due to my first child getting stuck.  They started Pitocin at 6 AM when I was 3 cm and 80% effaced.  I got my epidural at 11 am when I was 4-5 CM.  By 1 PM I was 6 cm then at 2 I was 10 cm and ready to push.  I pushed 4 times and baby Bethanie was out.  It was quite an easy labor and delivery compared to my first child.  The part that was tramatic was the the fact that I was hemorraging from the Pitocin.  It took about 2 hours for them to get the bleeding under control which was quite scary.  Things are going well now and we are expected to be home tomorrow afternoon.

Yes they give Pitocin to stop the hemorraging.  We had the same thing .. bc of the pitocin I was hemorraging but they gave me a lot more pitocin to get it to stop too.. it was quite scary.

So glad all is well.  Happy B-Day Bethanie!

That is weird about the Pitocin though.  I started hemorraging about 6 days after having my 2nd child and was actually given Pitocin to get it to stop.
