When are you starting maternity leave?

I'm 32 weeks 2 days. I was wondering when you ladies were starting your leave? I'm thinking 36 weeks only because my work is an hour away.

I don't want my water to break and me have to drive an hour home THEN 40 minutes to the hospital.

I live in one state and work in the next. My insurance won't cover the other state even if its an emergency. I was told I would have to fight to get them to cover it and it would be a lot of paper work.

My first child I went on leave at 37 weeks but I had a much more physical job. This time I will work until I feel like I go into labor. I get 12 weeks FMLA and I will have a month of PTO.

I get 12 weeks at most. :( I wish it was longer here in the US. I would love to stay home with her for a year. Hubby can pay for us but its more comfortable with 2 incomes.

I finished work beginning of May but my job was happy with me taking work without pay until my disability payment.
Disability is covered 4 weeks out from delivery.
I'm glad that I took off work to relax and have some me time before its go time!!!
It depends on when you can afford to take of work. I'm lucky not to have to work but its important to do what it best for your health and your family.
