Contractions? Am i in labor?!

Ftm 39 weeks plus 2 days. Woke up to bad cramping. Could hardly sleep last night. I counted them they were about 10 minutes apart on a scale of 1 to 10 a 5. Took a shower and around 10 1030 they stoped being 10 min apart. Had them about 2 times in an hour. Had a drs appt at 130 and dr said im 2.5 cm dialated and it was false labor. After that they started again a bit more painful every 10 minutes. But they go away and then dont come every 10 minutes. I still been having them all day and they got more painful. I just dont know if i go to l&d or wait a bit longer. Theyre about 3 every 10 min and then 3 every 15 minutes and back to 10 or 12 minutes apart. Any ideas?

For me started like that too on friday from 5.30 am on.  They speeded up and slowed down, speeded up a litlle... Nd then 10pm, bam!, bad contaction, a little bit of clear water came out (water broke) and contactions came every 3-5 min (they remained quite irregular for me till the end). 6hrs later Leander was born ;)

So i think: soon! Make sure you have everything you might need packed to go, don't eat heavy meals (my mistake, trying to push baby out one end while food tries to come out the other isn't pleasant lol). And try to rest as much you can! You'll need your energy. And don't feel to bad if they stop completely again, they'll come back with a vengeance lol

Might be false labor you will get cramping after they check you. I was checked yesterday and I've been feeling the same and I'm the same weeks as you. They should be getting closer together if you're in real labor nut you can always call labor and delivery
