Walking

So they say walking is good for you when you're pregnant, but everytime I try and for longer than 30 mins, I'm in horrible pain the rest of the day and even the next day. It's very frustrating. I'm trying to get a little exercise and I can't!!!! Ugh, just needed to vent and aee if anyone else is feeling the same way?!? 26 weeks by the way

It's painful for me too. But I noticed it's after I do 2 miles in 45 minutes. I can do a mile. i know I'm going to cut down the distance and try with my belt. I get back pain and hip pain afterwards.

I read somewhere that when you move, your baby rolls up into a ball. I guess it is safer or more comfortable for him.

I walk everyday, I found if I sit for a long period of time my butt gets sore as if all I do is sit around. So I walk alot and the only uncomfordness I get is when I start walking my son moves into a position that makes me feel like he has NO room at all to move and my belly gets extra round n it feels like so much pressure or like my belly has stretch to it's limit. Idk why this happens hopefully my doc can tell me if that's normal. I'm also 26 weeks

I'm 23+6weeks, I walk anywhere from 3-4 miles a day...my hips start to hurt towards the end but then goes away. Maybe you should get a belly brace? It wraps around your back and under your belly and helps support your back pressure due to the weight baring down on ur back from the baby. I got one for free in my breast pump kit....

I think I might try swimming. I know when I was pregnant with the first time just getting in the water felt amazing so maybe I'll look into it. Thanks

With my first pregnancy I walked a mile each day but when I got closer I started having pains so I cut back. Now I'm 25 weeks pregnant with #2 and she sits way lower than my 1st and I can't walk too long or too far so I try to walk only 15 minutes for excercise. There's still pain, just don't over due yourself!

I find I get a pain low down, the side varies and its a bit like stitch, I try to persevere but it is pretty uncomfortable. Walking the dog is not much fun :-(

I do and i have had this problem since 16 weeks. I did a long walk saturday and had to sit down a lot in order to be able to continue. In the evening i could barely move: i felt like i was carrying a bowlingball, and could hardly lift my legs. I shuffled everywhere lol. It was a lot better next day, but still remains sore/sensitive for a few days.

My gyneacologist said it's ligament pain, and it means i'm overdoing it and need to rest. But my friend recognised it *** pelvic instability, she goes to a fysiotherapist for that. It's common if you are naturally very limber apparently.
