Yes do not eat late night before bed and sleep with three pillows behind head for acid reflux. Avoid foods that will cause heart burn.

I've been getting horrible heart burn in the evenings and what I do is take a teaspoon on apple cider vinegar. (White vinager works too) Sounds crazy but it burns for about 5 seconds then no more heart burn all night!

Milk is acidic but it makes the acids more basic in your stomach because those acids are even more acidic. I drink milk too and it helps and the tums. But sitting up and walking helps me as well.

My grandmother had me drinking lots of water and ginger based foods... Not sure if that's a remedy that will work (gingerale, teas, etc)
