Doctor's appointment today!!!

Alright, so the doctor's appointment went sort of well today. Lily's heartbeat is good and strong, but my blood pressure is too high (141/96), and I've been seeing sparks in my eyes.  So they did a urine sample which was negative for protein, which is good. But they're also making me collect my urine for 24 hours, which is going to be a pain. They also tested my blood, and if the doctor sees anything bad she's going to call me in to discuss having her earlier, most likely sometime this month!

We discussed the pains I was having next to my belly button, and she said they're normal, just make sure to call her if they get to be any more frequent than five minutes apart.

We met with the anesthesiologist to discuss an epidural as well. I had back surgery in 2002 to correct scoliosis, and we have to find out how far down the metal rods descend. If they're between L2 and L5 on my back, no epidural for me! Which makes me think I'd rather just have a c-section and not risk complications with my back.

Hopefully she'll be here by the 29th! Thanks for listening, ladies! :D

I also have high blood pressure throughout my 3rd trimester. I had 2 - 24 urine collect done and some blood work to check for preclamsia, everything came back fine. Because of my HBP they will do my c section 2 weeks before my 12/20/09 due date; so by Dec 1st or 2nd I should have my little man.

Late last night went to the ER because of lack of fetal movement, happy to report everything is fine but I was having contractions but not strong enough to keep me. I might have this little one before December, I hope.

Hi.
I also had high blood pressure throughout my 3rd trimester. I had 3 24  hour test done and also alot of blood work done. All test came back fine. I was doing NST's twice a week and still everything was fine. The only thing was that i always measured 4 weeks behind and was carrying a small baby. He is here healthy but just small. I did have an epidural which was the best thing ever. i have a curved spinal cord but there were no problems. Wishing you all the best and hope all the test come out fine.

I noticed that resting helped bring down my pressure a bit.
