OT - Monday, December 14th

Well, we've scheduled an induction date. For next Monday. Well, actually I'm going in Monday night at 5 to start conditioning my cervix, which means that Lily will probably be here sometime Tuesday.

I'm very excited, yet at the same time frustrated, because that will be after my due date. So it's bittersweet. Two weeks ago I asked my OB if we could schedule it for this week, just ahead of time that way Labor & Delivery had room for me. She said no, and now they have no room for any more scheduled inductions this week.

But I have another non-stress test on Friday, and if the results of that test aren't good then we're having her tomorrow! But if they're fine, we come back Monday. I just thought I'd update you ladies.

Thank you so much for your support!

It really does feel surreal! Especially because I said to my boyfriend at around 6 1/2 months 'Alright, the first six months went by really fast, how do you think the last three will be?' And as they were happening, it seemed SO slow! But looking back on it it feels like this has been the fastest year ever!

Then I got to thinking and if you factor in the miscarriage, I've been pregnant at some point  EVERY month this year!

Yeah, now that we're all so close, it does seem kinda surreal, doesn't it! Like it's been so far away this whole time, and all of the sudden we're all about to give birth!!!

Just two more days for you! Max!

Thank you so much, I'm really trying to stay calm and not worry about everything. I can't believe my due date is tomorrow! It seems like just last week I took the test and got my BFP!

Good luck on Monday! It's so exciting to know you'll meet your little baby soon! Remember that as annoying as it is, they can control the scheduled inductions, but they can't control the spontaneous labors, so if the beds are filled with women who started labor on their own they just won't have the facilities to handle a labor that is being medically started.  I had to do the same the morning of my induction also.

Try not to get upset, some people don't have manners. Sometime people forget how they felt when they were in the same situation. Don't worry its Friday night and the weekends will be over in no time.

Thank you so much, Heather! It's so hard waiting, though. I thought for sure I'd be going to the hospital last night, but I guess not. The NST today went well, which means no induction today. But I'm hoping she comes before Monday!

One thing that did kind of unnecessarily **** me off today was the nurse telling me call at LEAST an hour before my SCHEDULED induction. To make sure they aren't crazy busy and won't turn me away. Excuse me, but it's scheduled. They have to keep a certain amount of beds open for scheduled things and a certain amount for 'walk ins'. It just upset me. :/

Good luck. Sorry for the ups and downs but in no time the little one will be here. I went through the same thing with scheduling.
