they are identical so it should be 2 girls or 2 boys
i am counting down the days.....i cant wait
With my first we waited and were surprised. It was fun, but SO hard! We had a video of the ultrasound and I kept studying it too to see if I could tell:) (Fyi, you know what they're looking for for a boy and for a girl they are looking for three solid lines in a row.)
My second we found out and I really liked knowing. So this time if we can find out I want to again!
what if it's one of each like I had?....or do you know they are identical?
my high risk ob will be doing an u/s after im 15 weeks almost 16 and she told me that the tech can start looking for the sex so i will be finding out the sexes of my twins on july 15, my next u/s
i cant wait
although my hub and i are alredy arguingi over names....he says if they are boys its nicholas and brian (his brother's name is brian so that is awkward to me) so i told him if they are girls im naming them Karissa and Kelsey....haha....
12 weeks does seem early but my sister found out at 15 weeks that she was having a boy. I think if they think it is a girl they have to wait longer to confirm it but with my sister, they were FOR SURE it was a boy:) I still have 7 weeks to go till I'm 20 weeks and have my next ultrasound. I have 2 girls already and I can't wait to find out if I can use all the cute stuff I already have or if I have to do some MAJOR shopping for a little boy!
As for me im 15 weeks today and dieing to know what im having. I can not wait till my anatomy scan and hope baby shows its stuff off! While at the er the other night i was hoping for an ultrasound and maybe finding out what baby is but nope. Cant wait to hear everyone's gender results!
wish I'd been able to find out at my 12wk scan!! Still another 5 weeks left for me! we are both desperate to know! Can't wait! Then we can choose a name, buy some clothes that aren't genderless and I think (especially with the hubby) it will bond us a little more. So excited - this is my 1st too. Dont know if we'll tell the family tho...we'll decide that closer to the time.
The Dr that I saw specialises in pre-natal diagnostics for this period and is one of the most regarded in his field. (here) So I guess with his specialty he can at this stage??
12.5 weeks seems awfully early to be able to tell & I would guess they would be making a guess at it (unless you did an amniocentesis or something like that). But regardless, this is our first baby too and we are DYING to know the gender so we can plan, talk to it as a boy or girl (instead of calling him/her & it), etc. I think my husband wants to know worse than me! We should be finding out in about 5 or 6 weeks (around week 20) but will schedule the appointment this Wednesday at my next check-up. Good luck!
I kept it a suprise with my first two!
With my third one We found out when we cut our baby shower cake! It was PINK lol!
I NEED to find out ASAP with this one lol
Was your doc going to tell you? At 12.5 weeks???
with my first dh and I waited. I wanted to know but he didint so i waited with him, however im 17wks with baby #2 and have my next u/s on Monday and I will be finding out the gender if baby cooperates!! DH still did wanna know until 2 weeks ago when he started to complain about all the rubbermaid containers i have stored under the stairs and i said well those would be your daughters clothes from birth until now that don't fit anymore. If I have a boy then im getting rid of it all!! If i have a girl then i can start to sort through what i have so i know what i need! So i think he's starting to see things my way for once lol.
i have no patience on waiting to find out the sex of the baby....im actually preg with twins right now and hopefully finding out the sex at my next u/s on july 15...i already know that is 22 days away...
i have always wanted to know the sex so i can prepare for the baby....i thought my last preg i would leave as a surprise but as soon as the tech started scrolling the wand over my belly i had to know what she was looking at
some people can hold out and leave it a surprise but 40 weeks (ish) is way too long for me to wait
best of luck :)
