2-3 weeks pregnant but not detected on vaginal ultrasound?

i went in for an ulta sound today and im only 2-3 weeks along and the doctor said that there is not fetus or sac detected no signs of etopic pregnancy is this normal not to see baby this early along or have i lost the baby?  this doctor reallyscared us and made us think that there is no other reason for not dectecting the pregnancy even though there is many cases i just read of on here?

Hi. I was having irregular periods. and i was put on diane 35 by my gyn for 3 continious months to regulate my periods. and she told to wait for periods to come normally on 4th month. from then 4th and 5 th month i got periods normally and on 6th month i missed my periods. did the home pregnancy test. and yes it was positive. i went to the gyn next day(friday) to confirm. did internal ultrasound. couldnt find anything. not even a sac. and did my blood test to confirm pregnancy. it came positive and i am 3 weeks.

but the doctor suspects whether it is ectopic pregnancy. as my hcg level was 1500 and he couldnt see anythng. he also said it could be tooo early. he asked me to come for another scan tommrw.(Tuesday).

I am very worried. so tensed. not able to calm myself down.

...Experiencing the same one.I had my last period June 26th - 29th. Then July 23rd I had a blood spotting. The next day I thought I had my period so i thot like m not pregnant but the thing is it only lasted two days and spotting next days. I honestly didnt wnna take another Pregnancy Test because i was thinking i would just fail to see two pink lines. So after a week of having signs I took HCG test one day after another. Surprisingly, it came all positive. I had to go to the OBGYNE to confirm if i really was. We were on TTC for a year now and this is the only time i got a positive result so I am ecstatic. I took another test before going to the hospital and it was positive too. Dr had me on ultrasound and found out nothing and gave me two possibilities of either its too early to detect the pregnancy or it is an ectopic. She took another ultrasound TransVaginal but still its nothing and have a clear cyst over my right ovary. This is really freaking me out and sad actually. I was told to bring the old record I had when i was last consulted by her. I know she told me there is nothing to worry about and had me rescheduled for next week another ultrasound. I am hoping it is not an EP and all is well. The thing I just am confused ryt now is that why didnt they let me go for a blood test?

Have you found anything out about your problems listed here? I am currently dealing with the same thing. At the beginning of the week, I took an over the counter test with a week estimator on it saying that I was 2-3 weeks pregnant. The next day I went to the doctor and had them give me a pee-pregnancy test, which came back positive. The next day I went for an ultra sound (because I am having side pains and I wanted to see if it was an ectopic pregnancy). The ultra sound is not showing anything and the nurse is very rude about it saying I miscarried and there is no baby. The very next day I went in for blood work, which came back saying I am now 3-4 weeks pregnant. I then called the ultra sound doctor and explained what was going on, which she responded...no they are wrong, there is no baby. I have taken an over the counter pregnancy test every morning for the past 3 mornings and they all are saying positive. I go to an OBGYN on Tuesday but I really would like to know as much as I can before then. It's driving me crazy not knowing if I've lost my baby or not. What did the doctor end up telling you?

hi alison,maybe you can help me, i just visited my ob yesterday to have a check up. I have a spotting for 2 week now,i have all of the symptoms of pregnancy,like breast soreness,nausea,sensitive smell,and fatigue,but on my blood test it was negative,and on ultrasound as well,my dr. said my endometrium is thick that cause bleeding,but no sac or fetal pole at all,and she told me that my left ovary is polycystic, is it possible i'm pregnant? or are those symptoms related to something else,because im still feeling all of those thing up to now.we concieved last aug.23 and i supposed to have my perion on sept.2.thanks

Hello i have a question please no judgement i was with my boyfriend that i am with now and i am about 14 weeks 5 days..when i had found out i was pregnant it was jan 30 i was 6 weeks 1 day now im lost when i had split with the boyfriend i am with now i was haveing intercourse most december except newyears because we were seperated i broke up with him and i had bumped into my ex and well u know it was the first of january now im scared because im back with my boyfreind from december and he thinks is his which i really hope so please if any suggestion if i was 6 weeks on the 30th of january 2014..i just want to make sure its my boyfriends not my ex just from newyears it was just that one time can u please let me know

I went to the doctor going through the same thing I was spotting a lil doc claim she don't c the baby I know I'm about  3 was pregnant this is crazy she say I'm pregnant but she ran test to c get back results Thursday I pray I didn't loose my baby I found ur story similar to mine thnx
