two week vist for Alex & Ethan

I cannot even believe that the boys are two weeks old already, more so because Ethan has only just recently come home. Anyways he is doing well and I am getting the hang of his diaper changes and feeding requirements, since they are eating roughly every four hours, three of his feedings are calorie enhanced breastmilk and the other three are just regular breastmilk. At his rate I thought for sure he would out-gain his brother weight wise but at their weight check this morning they both weigh exactly six pounds and are within millimeters of each other length wise. Everything else is going good, the pediatrician recommended a vitamin supplement for both boys and other than that to continue doing as we are and to come back in two weeks. Ethan has a follow up visit with the surgery team next week and there they will show us how to do his dilation therapy - i am definately not looking forward to it and plan to just cry right along with him or even for him if he doesn't cry. I am desperately hoping we will only have to do it for a few months at the most but we will find out more at the appt. I posted some pix and other than that not too much else to report on I guess, for those of you interested: healing from my c-section has been interesting. They give you a binder to wear afterwards and that helps immensely with preventing you from feeling as though your insides are going to fall out. I am also a good painkiller taker I admit it, why be in pain when you don't have to and those two things together have been huge. The bleeding has been minimal since coming home - more so after nursing the boys or pumping. I definately notice a difference when I try to "tough it out" and not wear the binder or take my pain meds although I definatley don't take them as much as I did the first week. Plus now I don't have to plan in trips to the hospital to visit Ethan anymore I am doing more relaxing as well.

2 weeks already!  :)  I am so glad the boys seem to be doing so well.  I hope they continue to thrive and grow the way they need to.

Sally, wow!  are you about crazy being on bed rest?  I'm sorry for you!!! I am very glad that you are getting closer to where you need to be for your little girl to be born though.  :)

Wonderful your boys are home and doing well and you're recovering so well from the C-section.  All the difficulties of pregnancy are becoming not so important now, I'll bet as your family gets used to your boys..

Me and Atlantsea next in line I reckon, and everyone else will be following soon after.

I am so sick of being pregnant now and can't wait for baby girl to get out!!  I am so hoping she comes on Tuesday..... will talk to Dr tomorrow, I guess... supposed to be today, but she didn't come by...
