First pg u/s today - 6 wks!

My first u/s is in an hour and a half and I can't stand it!  I had weird dreams all night - dreamed about my late M-I-L.  I can't believe how emotional I am.  We've been trying for years and after 4 IUIs resulting in an ectopic pg followed by an autoimmune reaction (Guillain Barre Syndrome) that took me out of the game for a year (nerve damage, couldn't walk, still not back to work), we got our BFN after 5 stimulated IUIs!  This one is totally different than the ectopic (it was actually a rare cornual pg - implanted in the top corner of the uterus).  I keep thinking it isn't real.  My beta levels were really good, so I'm hoping for a good outcome today.  Wish me luck!

Hey I was wondering how you're doing. I went for an U/S at 4 1/2 - 5 weeks and the doc said it COULD be a cornual pregnancy but they are not sure yet. Gotta go back in a few days.

How are you? Were u first diagnosed with Cornual? I am scared...

Yay!  There's a yolk sac with measurements indicating 6wks1d, but no visible hb...yet.  The u/s tech was trying really hard to find it, but was getting frustrated that she couldn't.  I cried because I was afraid there was nothing there.  My RE reassured me that it was perfectly normal and not to worry.  On the bright side, it's NOT ectopic, it's NOT chemical, it's NOT an empty sac -- there was definitely something in there.  My dh was watching the screen (I couldn't see it) and he said "All I saw was black space with something in it."  This gives me great hope, because he has absolutely no idea what he's looking at.  It made me happy and gives me hope that the little gaffer is just hiding or making me wait to hear him.  Almost like it knows that I need to have a little more faith that things will be fine this time around.  My next u/s is for next Tuesday.

Oh, and I went for acupuncture afterwards and my ND was also very positive and had told me ahead of time not to freak out if there wasn't a visible hb yet.  I have many symptoms including fatigue, having to pee WAY too much, thirsty, craving meat & milk (I was a vegetarian for years!), and having very strange dreams.  Oh, did I mention the increased libido?  Apparently this is normal too.  Lucky dh!

Thanks everyone for your support.
