ANOTHER very early arrival! 32 wks. 6 days
Birth story:
My water broke on Thursday night at 10pm. Made it to the hospital in a snow storm an hour and a half later. I was only 32 weeks and 5 days. They kept me in the hospital planning on trying to keep her in for as long as they could. Next night at 10pm I went to go to the bathroom and I was in a pool of blood. Was rushed in for an emergency c-section and Cassidy Grace was born at 11pm on the dot, 32 weeks and 6 days. She was 5 pounds 3 ounces and breathing on her own!!
She is now in the NICU and will be for a couple more weeks. She is doing extremely well for such an early arrival. It is hard to be home without her. I am driving back to the hospital a couple times a day to see her (an hour away). It is all worth it. Just trying to balance the time between her and my 17 month old son.
Well, just thought I would share.
Can't wait until I can read the rest of everyones birth stories!

Congratulations! Im so glad she did that wonderful for being so early. What a blessing. :) Hope shes still doing good and that youre feeling better too!

They gave the order to let me breastfeed more then once a day. They still are saying a couple more weeks but as long as she is doing well I am ok with where she is. I don't want to rush her...but I sure want her home.
LittleRed- I was actually VERY sick with a stomach bug from Mon-Wed night. Vomiting like crazy. I don't think I have ever been sick like that. Wed. night around 9pm I breathed a sigh of relief that I was actually feeling better and I was going to make it through this sickness and pregnancy after all. I laid down in bed and was just so happy to feel better and about an hour later I started to leak. I was like "YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME" lol. I only have a half of uterus so really I always felt like I was about to explode this time. Sorry, my story isn't exactly the norm so it is hard to give you too much insight.
Crazy how many feb babies are coming so early. I was actually due March 4th. My advice is keep those babies in for as long as possible!!!!

Congratulations!! What a trooper she is! I know how hard it is to leave your little bundle of joy in the NICU I don't think I ever cried so hard (OMG I'm crying now thinking of it) as the day I was discharged and had to leave without my baby. She sounds really strong I bet her stay will be shorter than the drs would expect for her age.
wow!! it is a very early arrival, but shes a big girl for only 32 weeks!! i am sooo glad shes doing so well and breathing on her own!! I am sure as others have mentioned you are probably extremly tired.. but then again it is soo worth it!! congrats again!!
Congrats!!! How were you feeling right before your water broke? Any signs of labor? I'm just curious :) I'm still awaiting my little bundle. Congrats again. Beautiful name btw!!
Congrats! My little guy is in the NICU too and it is sooooo hard to leave him there but I keep trying to think that in a month or two this will all be behind us and I'll have my baby home. It's so scary to have a premie but it sounds like your baby is doing really well so try to think about the positives!

I'm so happy to hear that she is doing great. I'm sure her stay in the nicu will be a short one - it sounds like she is a little rockstar! My little one Madison has been in the nicu for 22 days now and I know how you feel about leaving and her not able to come home with you.
