I've clipped Aida's nails a handful of times since she's been born, all while she's sleeping. Some of you may find this gross but this last time, while nursing, I bit them off!  When she was nursing on the left, I'd do the left hand then switch. It was super quick and I didn't have to worry about cutting her!

I don't like to do it either. But honestly I have gotten her skin once of twice (I have to clip her nails every 3 days they grow so fast!!) and when I've knicked her skin she doesn't care too much. No crying even if there is a drop of blood. After a bath their nails are soft and easier to trim. Or when they are full (just ate) or asleep I've found better luck :). But no my hunny won't do it either :(

I do it when the twins are sleeping or I've found if I sit them in my lap when they've just ate, it helps.

Yeah I do it when Shes sleeping. I do have the scissors but somehow I like the nail clipper better. I just hate doing it.!!!

trh0819 lucky your husband helps u with it. I tell my hubby to do it because he has an artis hand nice and steady but he's scared to hurt her he says he has big fingers and her lil fingers are to small to work on. Lol

I lucked out. My husband loves to do this with Annabelle so I've not had to. He actually found that if he files them regularly, he's not having to bring out the clips as often, although he's used clips and it's been fine. He will usually do it after she's fallen asleep in his lap and it doesn't seem to bother her ever.

have you tried the little scissors?? i have been cutting amys nails since week 1!! she was born with extremely long nails and would get scratched all the time, and she didnt like mittens. I use the scissors and just do it when she;s asleep in the morning or afternoon (I should be considered legally blind lol... ) so i try not to do it at night so i can actually see what im doing... i dont like the nail clipper cause her nails are too close to her skin and im afraid to cur her...
