Sex and pregnancy + cramping in lower abdomen?

Im just 19 weeks preggo, curious if it's ok to have sex now, should it go slower and not fast? What are the rules if there are any? lol, might sound sillyl, but I've been scared the bigger the baby is getting....

Also, ya know period cramps? Well, they're not bad at all or anything, just really slight cramping low or on the sides of my tummy. Feels like period pain, sometimes I just have to poop, and sometimes I don't..I feel the baby moving A LOT still, so I thought everything is fine. But I get worried about everything..Is that normal to have those pains..not even pains..just very light period type cramps, kinda. IDK hard to explain kinda.

Anyone else have that? Or know about sex, and when should you stop having sex, like when you're in week 30's or what?

I think if your baby comes early it's just how it's supposed to be but sex and sperm in there will not effect it. Usually when a baby is born premature especially prior to viability it's something that is a freak accident that cannot be prevented and no fault of the mother. Sex won't bring on labor before baby is ready and the only thing we can do to avoid fetal death and premature delivery is to get prenatal care (seeing our OB regularly). Yes it is a scary thing to think about but remember it isn't the mothers fault when that happens. We all just have to have faith that what's meant to be will be and what's meant to be is something good.

Sex is safe as long as your dr hasn't told u not to..., I get contractions after orgasm and it's been that way for all three of my pregnancies.... If sex caused premature labour I would have Bern in labor long ago .... I have sex at least once a day for my whole second trimester....

My RE and my OB said it was totally safe and healthy to have sex. Unfortunately my husband is 100% against it right now so I just take advantage of extra sleep. HA!

So its ok for sperm to be in there now? Maybe I should look up good pregnancy sex positions.. I read this lady's blog about how she had a baby at 18 weeks.. How terribly sad, I can't get it out of my head. I'm only 19 weeks. :'( It scared me and I don't want to do anything that will bring baby out toosoon..

I think I just had to poop, because I realized I didn't go for a 2 days(..sorry I hope that isn't too vulgar)lol...then I did, and I realized that's probably why I had those period type pains. There are sooo many things to worry about. I just want my little one to be ok!!

On the upper hand, Dr appt tomorrow to find out what the baby is!! I will post to let everyone know!! Keep me in your prayers that everything is going the way it should!

As you get close to your due date you should have lots of sex. The sperm will ripen the cervix and is the most proven "natural" way to induce labor. It is totally safe as long as you have a normal pregnancy to have sex. If you have bleeding when you have sex than you need to contact your OB and obstane from sex until dr says it's ok to again.

At this point the only no no of sex is try not to lay completely flat on your back so you don't pass out.

I get the strange side pain you are talking about I have a feeling it's related to my irritable bowel disease. Often times the pain comes and then i have to poop or I get gassy. Pregnancy is wonderful but has some strange symptoms lol. I'm also feeling baby move and my only other guess is that baby is kicking an organ or something which may cause a slight pain. If you ever find the reason let me know, my OB doesn't know either lol. But yeah sex is safe, the penis isn't going to poke the baby or break your water or anything. I do joke that is how babies get their belly buttons but that's just a dirty tasteless joke with no fact behind it lol
