Where's the energy surge?

Since we are all about the same place, I'm wondering if anyone has hit the energy surge yet that I hear about. I keep waiting for my energy level to return, but I am completely exhausted, pretty much all day. In fact I took a 2 hour nap today and I never nap. I'm 10 weeks and I guess 12 is the magic number, but I thought maybe I'd get lucky and start to feel like working and being social. School starts in two weeks so I'm praying energy is on its way :-)

I wake up a lot too. Someone told me its your body getting you in the habit of being up all night when the baby comes, lol. Who knows but I do love wives tales.

I wake up middle of the night EVERY night. It's driving me crazy. I wake up around midnight then again at 2 and usually 4. Before being pregnant, I always woke up once, but I'm pushing 3-4 times now. I start school next week so hoping I find some sort of routine quickly.

I'm still waiting for my energy surge too (though I don't think waking up between 3 and 4 am every night is helping!)  During the work week I try to lie there and sleep but today I just got up at 3:15am because I thought it might help!

The zofran works wonders!!  I take it too and needing it less some days and right as clockwork others. I'm just glad we have it :).

Fatigue is letting up a little bit now. I'm nearly 11.5 weeks. Some days are better than others but good days are coming more often now :)

i am starting to feel better fatigue wise... i think the stress of being done with school and having a break has made me feel better lol!! but the morning sickness persists, i got prescription Zofran for it and it works wonders!! i am supposed to take it every 4 hours or as needed, and last couple of days i thought i was feeling better without the pill since i am only taking 2 a day, so like every 8 hours or so... but yesterday i only took one... and felt great all day.... didnt need to take another... but then this morning i had to get up and take it right away because i was getting sick!! it was horrible but oh well ill take the pill until i really start feeling better and then take it from there!!

I have also gotten over the fatigue part for now. I think it started going away around week 10 - 11 when some of my other symptoms started to fade. I do have more energy for the most part but if I over-do it I have to treat myself to a nap. If we think we are tired now, imagine having a crying baby to tend to every hour or two :) I cant wait!

I got over my sluggish feeling about a week and a half ago (so at 10 weeks I guess) and other than being a big fat whale feel great. :)  As you know, I haven't had any pregnancy symptoms besides that, though, so I think I'm just lucky.

My husband and I both teach, so he's been great this summer in helping me, more so than I ever imagined he would. But he had surgery last week and was on strict bed rest for 5 days. He was only able to come downstairs for the first time yesterday, so I know that's been taking some out of me, too, since I'm taking care of him and me.  I teach Seniors and I have a chair and podium, so I expect I'll be using that frequently although I typically am up and interacting with my students from bell to bell. I am curious to see, however, at what point I am no longer comfortable working. I'm hoping to make it to the end but have a feeling my DH will put a stop to that sooner than I would.

I'm just tired of being tired. But I'm so incredibly grateful to be pregnant that I try not to complain.  I just feel so lazy. I'm generally one who is always on the go, seeing friends, traveling, etc. We canceled one trip this summer because I thought it would be a waste of money to pay to SLEEP somewhere other than my bed. Then I got sick on my second trip and had to fly home three days early. It's just unusual for me to feel this way and as much as I welcome every ache and pain associated with this perfect little baby, I just wonder when I'll actually feel like doing anything again.

trh0819 are you a teacher??  I am a stay at home mum now with two kiddies but before I had my son I was a teacher.  I don't think the energy surge hits when you teach lol because teaching takes a lot out of you.  I was forunate to work till 4 weeks before my son was born because of the 2 week holiday lol but the first and last trimester are the hardest.  The second trimester is nice but I got to the point where I had to sit with my kids at their tables because I couldn't stand up once on the floor lol.

I am almost 9 weeks and I am still extremely exhausted.  I am forunate my husband finishes work at 2pm so he is doing a lot at the moment to help get me though the next few weeks.  I think the 12-13 week mark is the magical mark if you are lucky.

I hope you both hit your energy surge soon.

Trh I agree where is the energy and why is it hiding from me lol. I am 10.5wks I have slightly more energy than previously but still feel like this little one is sucking the life out of me. I've been fortunate enough to get a two hour nap in nearly every day. But if anyone know where te fountain of energy is and how to obtain some I would love to know :)
