sleeping patterns

Hi all

I am so exhausted and wandering if anyone else is feeling the same as I am.
I only just started recording Ella's day pattern because of her constant crying.
During the day she has one good two hour sleep and then its half an hour after that every 3 hours.  At night she woke up every 2 hours religiously.  I am so tired and I just don't know what to do anymore.  This is my third and by far my most demanding.
I was co sleeping but decided to change because she kept me up like that as well.  Any advice would be great

Hey

Thanks for all of the advice.  My days are getting better because I stayed home all last week because I was mentally and physically exhausted.  Ella still has very small sleeps but she is only waking up one to two times a night now which is lovely.

I did use the cry it out method and she doesn't cry as long as she use to.  She pretty much goes to sleep within 5 to 10 minutes.  I am also pretty happy with myself because she sleeps in her cot all by herself!!!  Go Me lol

I've found babywearing to really really help. Check out "babywearing international" on Facebook. I use a mei tai or a ring sling to keep Ellie close to me. She is able to be held and soothed while I still have two hands free to do what I need to do. Babies who are worn in a wrap or sling cry 40 percent less per day. Since we started wearing Ellie in the mei tai or ring sling she cries at most five MINUTES per day. She still does wake frequently at night every 2-3 hours but I found co sleeping helped me to feed her quicky so I could fall back asleep quickly.

I wonder if she has a food intolerance that makes her so fussy?  Maybe silent reflux?  Milk allergy?

Ellie takes 2 naps per day every 3.5 hours after waking up. You could also try the Ferber "cry it out method" or infant massage. I massage Ellie before bed every night seams to helP her sleep.

Wow sorry ur so tired.  Unfortunately I don't have any helpful answers if I did I would use them myself! Lol  is she bottle or breast?  Are you giving solids at all?  Is the crying thing new or has she been doing it?   Let me know on those and maybe I can give a few tips.  This is number 3 for me too.  I noticed on the solids I was trying to give her too much.  What I mean is she didn't want 3 meals of solids a day, she only wants two.  Since I have cut that the last two days she seems to be sleeping better.  Its not 100% but she was waking every 1-2 hrs and now we are getting 3 hrs.   How old is she again?  It may be something she can grow outof.
