breastfeeding.. HELP!

Hey mommies. So my son is 2 weeks old today. And i tend to get stressed out with breastfeeding. I pumped to see am i producing enough breast milk or not And I'm not! It's very little. I don't even fill up a quarter of the bottle up. What can i do????

Yes don't pump to see! Pumping doesn't get as much and you are making enough, that is a huge myth! It's a very rare condition for a mother to not produce enough milk. Try fenugreek or having a beer to increase milk, if for nothing else, for peace of mind. They do a very specific test in which they get an exact weight of baby, then have you breastfeed, then weight the baby again to see exactly how much milk he has gotten. I felt like I wasn't making enough and it seems most mother's feel that way. We were/are wrong!

a 2 week old only needs about 2 to 3 oz a feeding....and dont look at what your pumping a better indicator if baby is getting enough is dirty diapers. you want about two poopy diapers and 8-10 wet in 24hrs. if your baby is latching and feeding there isn't anything to stress over. if you want to increase your supply feed more frequently. babies tend to cluster feed to increase your milk supply so if they arent you can just make them do it by feeding more often then the recommended 3 hrs and try and feed every two. and drink lots of water!
