Milk, Milk, and more Milk...

Can you pass the milk please? I have really been downing ALOT of milk lately. Milk with my cereal, milk with a snack, and milk with my dinner and sometimes two or three glasses at a time. I don't think this is harmful, just odd. Any insight? Anyone else doing this too?

Thanks, that makes me feel better. I also drink about 2 liters of water a day. I think I am drinking about 4-5 tall glasses of milk a day as well. It is like I just can't get enough of it.

I don't think there's anything wrong with drinking milk.  It's providing calcium and other vitamins that can help baby!  I did a little Googling and found an article that said this:

"Some pregnant women may be advised or choose to restrict milk consumption and may not take appropriate supplements," write Cynthia A. Mannion, MD, from McGill University in Ste. Anne de Bellevue, Quebec, and colleagues. "We hypothesized that maternal milk restriction during pregnancy, which can reduce intakes of protein, calcium, riboflavin and vitamin D, might represent a health risk by lowering infant birth weight."

Also ... "Milk and vitamin D intakes during pregnancy are each associated with infant birth weight, independently of other risk factors," the authors write. "Restricting fortified milk or vitamin D intake during pregnancy lowered infant birth weight in otherwise healthy, nonsmoking, well-educated mothers. This is an important finding because increasing numbers of women are restricting milk consumption during pregnancy, believing that it will lower fat intake, minimize weight gain, treat self-diagnosed lactose intolerance or prevent their children from developing allergies."

So, again, I think you drinking milk is perfectly fine!!  I usually only have it with breakfast in the morning, and occasionally with dinner.  Everything else is water, water, water ...but it gets boring fast.  lol
