Swine Flu?!

Hi Ladies,

Just wondering if any of you have gotten H1N1 since being pregnant.  I am being treated for it right now with Tamiflu...and I am absolutely miserable.  Obviously, I am VERY worried about the potential complications it can cause during pregnancy.  :(  My doctor is most worried about dehydration, since I am already having preterm contractions and we obviously want to avoid delivering too early.

Just thought I would see if any one else is experiencing/experienced this!

Thank you ladies for all your prayers.  I had gone back and forth with deciding whether or not to get the vaccine for my 2 year old and I.  I was very concerned about the mercury levels in the vaccine.  However, after a lot of thought and prayer my husband and I decided to go ahead and get our daughter the flu mist...and for me to go ahead and get the shot.  My main purpose in even getting the vaccine myself was so our precious baby would be protected this winter!  We aren't planning on taking her anywhere for the first few months to limit exposure...but those first few appointments at the pediatrician are unavoidable!  Unfortunately, I came down with it before I could get in to get the vaccine yesterday!

It is miserable!  I am not a person to be easily influenced by media reports...and every case in our town has been relatively mild...so I wasn't really worried about it.  However...now I wish I had chosen to get the vaccine earlier!  I am trying to stay hydrated...but it is really difficult when you are constantly throwing up!  Aside from all that, my husband is a full time student and I feel so bad that he is having to carry so much weight around here.  I have been on bedrest (modified) for a month or so now, so he has been having to do a lot anyway...but now I can't even hold my daughter.  :(

Stay healthy ladies!  It is not fun at all!

Just the vaccine. I am exposed to it though on a daily bases at work and just being outside. My doctor's office is getting all the ladies they can with the vaccination before they get it. I too will pray for a speedy recovery for you and that your baby will be fine :D! Our area has only the swine flu running through it right now which is nerve racking. I'm thinking my husband is showing some of the symptoms but the fever isn't above 100.9 so I'm not too sure. I was told I could use Echinachea for an immune booster thank goodness because I am pregnant with twins too. Delivery if not sooner will be January 7th, 2010. Best of luck ladies! Keep healthy :D!!!
