Hes here!!! FYI Long!

My original due date was Jan 28 but I had a feeling baby was coming early and I was right! After 2 weeks of pre-labor I could tell this was it my husband and I loaded our 4 and 2 year old in the car and walked around Walmart for about an hour before heading to the hospital even though contractions were consistent and fairly strong they were hesitant to admit because I was only 38 weeks. I was so happy when I was finally admitted about 1pm dilated to a 5 they checked me about 430 And I was a 6 with bulging water they called my doc and they said to have someone break my water and he would finish up in the office and come deliver baby. Water was broke about 5pm and contractions picked up fast! ( I decided since i had trouble with my epidurals in the past I was gonna try to go with out it.) They were PAINFUL! doc got there and checked me dilated to 8 80% effaced said he would be back in half an hour he walked out and the next contraction I felt the urge to push he rushed back in tried to check me but felt baby's head instead. Luckily everything was ready and I pushed him out in less then a min with 2 pushes. Born at 603. He is 7lbs 9 oz 20 inches long and healthy. :-)

That's amazing news!!! Congratulations :D  I'm 38+ and have been having on and off contractions since 34 weeks but nothing constant or consistent. I'm very excited about meeting my little one and I hope the Labor and Delhvery is as smooth as yours was. Since he came out so quick did they have to help him with the breathing? I hear sometimes a little amniotic fluid is still left in the lungs when babies come out so quick? Did you experience the "ring of fire?" Any tearing?
What did you do to bring on labor other than walking? I started using Evening Primrose Oil to help soften my cervix but I honestly don't know if that will work! Any recommendations would help a bunch.

He did not have any trouble breathing. My sister asked me about the ring of fire also. And yes and no.... Only for a few seconds once his head was out it went away. I did get alittle tear right at the bottom I think only 3-5 stitches Some other things i did to bring on labor was lots of sex, bowling, and jumping jacks.

So exciting! I'm set to be induced on the 24th with my original due date being the 30th because I have a larger amount of amniotic fluid than average and I have a smaller body and it's putting a lot of strain on me. I hope that mine decides to come sooner though :) Congrats on your baby though
