does any one know...
About how long it may take to dilate from a 1 up? In some cases I've heard within a week others 3-4 weeks. I have kids but its been 7 years and I really dont remember. Also, I was told that I'm "measuring on the small side of normal". Any thoughts on what, if anything, I should expect due to that?

Kinda delayed but..... yes my belly is small. I am 38 weeks and measure 33cm. The doc didnt seem too concerned, just enough to mention it. I just hope all ends up well.
That comment 'on the small side of normal' - was that in reference to your belly? I was told that your belly should be about the same as how ever many weeks you are - but - like fsantiago said - everyone is different! If it's still with in normal ranges- breathe easy!
lol. thanx. I think mine is just gonna take her time too. One the one hand I want her out but on the other I'm content . She needs her time I suppose
I have been 1cm for the past 4-5 weeks...Hopefully when I go on Thurs to my dr he will tell me there has been a change...he said with my son (which was my 2nd baby) I was 1c, for 4 weeks then 2 cm for 2-3 weeks and I was 3cm when I went in to the hosptial to start l&d...Every pregnancy is diff...Although I thought that after you have had one or two that it would start faster but mine is just strollin along...
