Anyone else dilated yet?
I'm 1 centimeter dilated and my cervix is under 2 1/2. I'm wondering if any of you have had your dr's confirm you are dilated? I'm wondering when my labor will begin. My dr wants me to go for a regular delivery so as long as their are no fluke complications with my labor a natural childbirth is the plan! It's my last baby so I wanted to try no drugs. We'll see! Good luck to all of you! Our babies are almost here! Yay!

NO drugs? Yeah, hell no. lol. Maybe I should ask my quack to see if im dialating tomorrow at my apt. What should i tell him to make him check me. I'll lie even. I dont care, but with how I've been feeling i think he should check.
Not sure yet, I have an appointment next wednesday and they are doing the strep B test so I will ask him to check my cervix while he is down there lol.
I have been having really strong braxton hicks and very painful shooting pains in my cervix so I feel like I may be dilating. I swear to God if I go to my due date I am going to kill someone lol I am so ready to have this baby out of me, lets hope I only have 4 1/2 more weeks! That'll bring me to full term

Well since I was contracting every 2-6 minutes for almost 24 hours the doctor checked me yesterday to see if I was dilating and unfortunately it is still closed. I am with GRose though I want to get him out I am done being pregnant and since these painful braxton hicks have started I am ready to get this show on the road.
What is Considered Full Term???
I have a doctors appointment and it feels different down there, so it's possible that i may be dialated somewhat as well. Like Grose I've been getting the shooting pains in my cervix and the Braxton hicks contractions are getting so much stronger.

Yes I'm with you dkl and tas I'm ready for the show to be over and not do this again. BY far this has been not only my most traumatic pg but the most painful! Ouch.
Dkl- with all the issues you are having your quack should have started when he told you your cervix is thinning. what a jerk.
Grose- Ya I would since this is not your first.
Tas- You will know and if you are having that kind of pain it's better to be on the safe side.
Blackmetal- Did your dr check you or do you just think you are. I'm having a ton of pelvic pain and it's the pain that is being caused by my cervix dilating and thinning!

I've been having the shooting pains too! I didn't know that could mean your dilating, I've had them and cramping quite a bit lately, maybe I should have them check me tomorrow at my doctors appointment

I didn't finish my sentances in my last post lol, i was a little mindless while writing that out. I had a doctors appointment today and what i ment to say was, I was gonna get her to check it out today for me. I was terrified that i was leaking amniotic fluid (i was reading too many forums and watching too many shows on tv, and everything scares me...I gotta stop doing that) so i wanted her to check me out anyway. (it turns out that i have trouble keeping in my urine) And i've been getting severe pelivc pain and menstrual cramps, But it turns out that i'am 1 cm dialated. She figures if i reach 38 weeks i'll be very lucky. The baby is measuring 2 weeks ahead, so i'm a little terrified lol.
I know youre not supposed to but I checked my own cervix today because I was having cramping and a lot of pressure and A LOT of discharge (weird coloured as well sorry for the TMI) and I think I'm dialated. I have an ultrasound in less then two weeks so I will know for sure then. But it definitely felt like I am. Cervix also seems to be hardening (I have checked one other time and could barely reach or tell it was my cervix due to softness (also TMI sorry)

Doesn't really mean you will go into labor early, some women are 1cm dilated for 2 months before they give birth. Remember, you dont want that baby to come out before 37 weeks.
i so agree...went to the doctors today also and Iam 1 cm dilated and 33 wks...yikes! I was nervous at first but this is kinda the indication we are almost DONE...as well Iam so excited anxious butyet scared...but we so cant go into labor early...
I'm so ready for this to be a done deal. I have so much pelvic pain it's crazy. I wish I could be knocked out until after the baby is born. I put it off today but if it continues tomorrow I'm going to get checked out it hurts to walk or get up and down or sit etc. I can't deal with it! Good luck to all of you and it should be fun to see who posts up the pics first!

well I hope he doesn't come out early I'm so anxious thinking i would go into labor soon!, and just like u Army princess I've been having pelvic pain as well it hurts 2 walk or get up....I was beginning 2 worry it's but my doctor says it's the pressure since the baby's in the head first position but if it gets worse i will have it checked!..
I had an appointment yesterday, I'm 31 weeks today. ANYWAY- I asked about when they are going to start checking to see if I'm dilated, she said at 38 WEEKS! I think that's pushing it, but this is my first everyone says that i'll go early because I'm HUGE but then again one doctor told me that I'll probably pass my due date.
I want some kind of indication of when I'll have this baby. Do first timers usually go early or late!?
