36wks ultrasound and some baby parts are measuring around 33wks

Hi All,

Today i have my 36weeks ultrasound and am worried about everything which the dr. told me. This is my first baby and i don't want any abnormalities. Below is the concerns which the dr. told me i need your opinion on them:

1. The baby is in breech position with head on the left side of my belly.....did that mean i would be goin for a c-section OR there are still some chances that the baby will change the position?

2. Baby is weighing 2.5lbs and the dr. said that the baby is weighing less then what it should be on 36weeks. What do you think what should be the ideal weight at 36weeks?

3. The gestational age of the baby is 35wks1day instead of 36 and even some body parts are measuring around 33 and 32 weeks. Dr. is saying that she would check after 2 weeks and then suggest anything. This is the most worrying part can anyone have some information on these kind of cases.

At 36 weeks and about 3 days my baby was weighing 5 and a half pounds and she is on the smaller side. I know it's very hard not to worry but my doctor told me that the baby's weight that is determined by the ultra sound is not always accurate. In the next two weeks your doctor should check the progress of your baby's growth. Best of luck to you.

Thanks alot for the reply.

I researched on internet and the exact baby position is RIGHT TRANSVERSE and on every thread they have mentioned that it's nearly impossible for the babies in right transverse to move :(

What do u think about the wait of the baby and baby's different body parts measurement?

If the baby is in a breech postion he or she could still turn around. My son was breech until the very end. I also had him at 36 wks. and 3 days and he weighed 5 pounds 4 ounces. I'm sure everything is fine. Good luck to you!
