Baby Shower..
Did anyone have their baby shower as yet? If not, when is it and how many weeks will you be? Mines is scheduled for July 10 and I will be 38 weeks. I think it is too close to my due date.
My baby shower is on Saturday (July 10), I think I will make it. I will be 38 weeks then. I was so worried that I would have the baby by the 10th:)...LOL!!
I had more fun shopping for all the things we still needed after the showers than I did at the showers I think lol. Except that I changed my mind about what I wanted at the last minute every time. I registered for a swing, got it and then returned it for a different one, registered for the matching bouncer for the first swing, got it and then returned it for one that wasn't so cutesy wutesy. oh well
We are registered at Babiesrus and Target. I've been checking my registry on line and so far I've getting some good stuff...LOL!!! I can't wait for the shower:-)
We had 2 showers one for each side of the family, at the first one we got nothing! Not literally but we got absolutely nothing we needed and I started to panic, everyone gave us clothes and other things that we didn't want. And I even went out of my way to register at Walmart becuase I knew thats where they would shop, and they still got us nothing useful. So now we have like 100 giftcards to Walmart from all the returns there lol. We did a lot better at my moms shower, we got a lot of stuff that we needed and everything was good. Now we're just working on getting all the things that we still need.
Thats right i wasn't remembering that you are adopting. That makes sense. Defenitely a big help!
I just noticed that date July 10th. I think you will make it til then...but is there anyway to move it up?
My husband's co-workers had a shower for him at work on Wednesday and we got a lot of cute stuff and I had a small one at work. I just hope I make it to my main shower...LOL!
I am expecting two babies. . . One biologically, and my husband and I are adopting a child. So I think that's one of the reasons we are having so many. The other reason is because I have a really large family, so one side of my family is doing a shower, then the other side, then my sister threw me a shower for friends only (a couple's shower) and then my work wanted to throw me a shower. Hey, I'm not going to turn down any showers. :)
I had mine a few weeks ago with family and close friends. It was a lot of fun and I got a ton of baby girl clothes. I was supposed to have one at work tomorrow but I got placed on bed rest last week so they all just want to mail a big gift card. Im thrilled for that as well!

I had my babyshower on May 22nd. I was 34wks 1 day. Gave myself time since i had my daughter early at 35wks 3 days.

I have already had two showers. . . One was at 30 weeks and one was at 34 weeks. I have two left, one at 38 weeks, and one at 39 weeks.
My shower is this Saturday i will 38+ weeks. I have no reason to think that i am going to have the baby early so I think its perfect for me. If i did randomly go into labor early, i can always have it after he comes and if i had to bet everyone would be okay with the reschedule.
I just had mine on Sunday - 33 weeks exactly - but we did not expect me to go this far... I think 38 is pushing it.. but it can always be a welcome baby party instead!! But if you look a lot of the woman on this site usually go full term - so I think the odds are in your favor that you will still be prego then!
yes i think its really near to your due date, im 26 weeks 4 days and i still dont know where im going to do it and i havent planed anything yet, i guess i will do it by August and i hope i can do it before 33 weeks
Yeah, it is pushing it a lot! But my husband's know it all aunt wanted that date although I asked her to have it sooner. She doesn't even know that I know the date. I think the suprise will be on her..LOL!
