On the 20th July Tessa Elizabeth was born via planned induction. Tessa weighed 8lbs 4oz, was 52cm long and had a head circumference of 35.5cm. My waters were broken at 9.30am and Tessa was delivered at 2.25pm after 10mins of pushing. I needed meds to slow my bleeding down (first time that has happened out of 4 births) and had complications with my blood pressure in the week following the birth (was 170/120 at the worst time).
Tessa has long slender hands and feet like her daddy (I think she will be very tall like him) and a full head of 3cm long dark brown hair (my babies usually have a little fluff at best). So far she has been a little angel. She sleeps so much that I have to wake her to feed her, she goes 5 hrs then 4 hours between feeds overnight and 3hrly during the day, and she has never once spat her milk back up (I have a baby and don't smell like vomit?).
Big sister Lucy (18 months) is coping far better than I could ever have hoped for. She doesn't seem jealous at all and the biggest problem I am having is that Lucy wants to cuddle and hold Tessa and is unaware of her strength when she is expressing love.
I am now a very happy (if somewhat exhausted) mother of 4 and proud of it!
I'm jealous that you don't smell like vomit! both of mine have been champion spitters...but I have to say that they both also have had a full head of hair and I love it...but you're lucky that little Miss Tessa doesn't spit up because hair on a baby is a perfect catch-all for spit-up, yuck. hehe
can't wait to see pictures!!!!!
