Hello Everyone!

Hi Everyone!  Just thought I'd welcome all of you ladies who have gotten your BFP!  I go for bloodwork this afternoon.  By looking at a due date calculator it looks as though I'm due July 7 2010 which makes me 4 weeks today!  That may change after I see the Dr but who cares.....I'm pregnant!

Congrats everyone!
I got my BFP yesterday. This will be my first pregnancy since my m/c in Aug. of 08. I'm excited and terrified all at the same time. I have 3 kids ages 5, 9, and 11. I can't wait to tell them the good news after the first dr.'s appt.

Hi there Congrates on your pregnancy!!! I found out I was pregnant when is was over 8 weeks. I called and made a appointment with my sister in laws doctor. They also told me the doctor will see ya between 8 and 10 weeks. My first appointment was when I was 9 weeks. They asked a load of questions about family history for myself and my boyfriend. I suggest you take the daddy with you. They did a bunch of blood tests. (took like 8 viles from me) and gave me a bunch of stuff to read on the pregnancy. I had another appointment last week at 13 weeks 3 days. I had a ultrasound and blood test for Downs Syndrome because I am over 35. This is also my first pregnancy but I have heard its normal.

hi thank you - update today - i spoke to my doctors today to make an appt and they transferred me to the nurse. She asked how far along i was etc and she said she couldnt fit me in for a couple of weeks and she will just book the first "booking appt" for the 19th November at the hospital.

She also said that the doctors wouldnt like to see me until i am approx 8-10 weeks anyway.

I was a little surprised as i expected bloods to be taken and to get my beta levels now i thought i must have been wrong and people get the tests done at the booking appt and not the initial appt and 8-10 seems quite some time but as i am new to all this just took her word

Any thoughts on this would be great - is this what generally happens?

Many thanks and wishing you all luckx

Congratulations!!!!!!!!   Because I've been pregnant before thye didn't do much for me.  It's a good idea to bring your spouse with you if you can to your first appt.  Thye're going to ask all kings of questions about family history for both of you, as well as your family background with ethnicity.  They'll send you for bloodwork and give you all of the do's and don'ts.  They'll probably order a urine sample as well.  I'm not sure if they'll want to do a phsical on you or not.  Mone didn't because he himself had just done one on me 2 months before.  I'm not sure what else but those are the definates!  Good luck and have a healthy pregnancy!

I think we've all got our fingers crossed!  For me, this is my third pregnancy.  My first one was a year and a half ago and I delivered a still botn at 28 weeks.  I got pregnant again in Feb but it turned out to be a blighted ovum.  I'm really praying that this is the one!  Lots of luck to you guys and to everyone else who joins our July due date group!

Oh ya, I had my first Dr appt yesterday afternoon.  I went for bloodwork and urine, I've got an ultrasound booked for Nov 18th.  I'm going to call on Friday to get the results of my bloodwork to make sure my HCG levels and everything else is ok.
