Wow, so far it looks like the trend is true with the heartburn vs hair!  Maybe someone will break the trend and prove it wrong, but so far it looks like its a positive correlation!

I never had heartburn with my oldest and she was bald until she was 17 months (now she is blonde)! Had it really bad with my 2nd and she had a full head of black curly hair at birth (she is blonde also). This one is the absolute worst! I have red hair so Im hoping its  growing a head full of red too lol

Heartburn is HORRIBLE... I can't find anything to help - except at night I am eating a scoop of mint chocolate chip ice cream.. the cold makes my throat feel better - the milk from the ice cream seems to calm it down a bit and the mint settled my tummy - or I am just finding a really long excuse to eat ice cream!!!  If my baby is anything like its daddy (he has lots of hair ---everywhere!)  - I am in for a very furry, hairy little girl!! UGH!!

LOL....Cycle3chick...I've heard that hair and never believed it until my girls were born.  They had VERY thick black hair...my youngest's hair looked like a wig when she was born...lol.  This time (knock on wood) my heartburn hasn't been bad....I've been teasing my husband that this one might be bald=)

I read that if you have horrible acid its because the baby is growing hair :D

Yeah I pack the tums and they help but keeping a little solid food like a couple crackers sometimes when I have an emoty stomach helps. I have found that you can not drink without eating and that water hurts the most but I take it down anyways and that tomatoe is a NO NO for me. Don't know if this will help also for you.

My midwife has me take Papaya enzyme (I get them at a health food store or pharmacy)...works similar to Tums, or rolaids but also helps your stomach break down food and decrease acid.  This works, but if heartburn is really bad, sometimes I have to take rolaids.  During one of my pregnancies, she put me on a daily pill....I think it was Zantac or something....This was only because I had it sooooo bad, that it hurt to eat or drink anything because my asophagus (SP?) felt as though it was raw from acid=(

Good luck!

Awww, sorry, i don't think their is much you can do, i have had the acid reflux since the 3rd month. I take Tums, i carry them everywhere with me. They are also chewable and they help me quite a bit. Good luck!

Take an antacid tablet. They can be bought at the supermarket or the chemist. My favourite brand is Mylanta and I like the forest berry chewable flavour the best.

The other option (cheaper but less effective) is to drink a glass of milk.
