head cold

So my sore throat turned into a full fledged head cold. Problem is I'm broke and do not have the money to buy anything for it right now and I'm completely miserable because I can't breathe, and my throat hurts on top of my week 29 pregnancy rollercoaster. The only things I have in my house are kids mucinex and kids dimetapp. Are either of these ok to take? I'm really at my last straw here because this has prevented me from sleeping at all the last few nights.

Thanks guys! Yes I'm making sure to drink lots of fluids. Today I'm still stuffy, but not as badly so maybe I'll manage to get actual sleep tonight!

I hope you are feeling better today. I got the dreaded head cold thingy over a week ago and it got better rather quickly.  I didn't take meds but I did end up buying a knock-off brand of Vick's and I grabbed a few cough drops from my mom's house. And tons of water. :)

Make sure you drink lots of water and when I've been feeling crappy lately I will take extra vitamin D and it seems to help. DH and I woke up with sore throats the same day a few days ago...he's sick, I'm not. Knock on wood I still don't get it!

Even with insurance you need actual cash to buy things like sudafed. But thanks much.
