40+4 and no dilation

The dr just checked and I'm still not dilated. I know he will want to schedule an induction if she's not here by 41 weeks. What can I do to move things along naturally? Thanks so much in advance!!

Be careful about what induction means.  Not what I thought at my hospital.   Know the steps and your rights!!!  ♡☆¤☆♡♡☆♡☆ good luck and my best wishes.

As long as your doctor isnt concerned that baby is getting to big to birth naturally it is totally fine to wait to 42 weeks. They wouldnt let you go beyond that though cause then babys size does become an issue and Ive heard your fluids begin to drop which puts baby at risk.

Thanks!! I am walking a lot and have an induction massage scheduled for Thursday. I told the doctor that I was worried about induction so we scheduled one for the 30th. By then I will be one day away from 42 weeks. Hopefully she will come on her own before that! Is it ok for the baby to be born so close to 42 weeks?
