Boy naming problems

My fiance and I like the name Finnley. Or Finn for short. I asked my best friend what she thought and she hates it. :( I know it doesn't matter what other people think, but it hurts knowing that my best friend would hate my son's name. We are looking for unique names like Vincent or Finnley or Jaxon or Killian. Names like that. Is it wrong of me to be hurt by what she said? And what kind of names do yall like? Thanks in advance!

Thanks guys :) We actually wrote all the names we liked down, and chose from there. We ended up with Jaxton Rhys. :)

I like more classic/traditional names. Finnley is not my style, but still a nice name! Go with what you love, people adjust. I very much disliked my nephew's name, but I got used to it.

Is Jaxon unique where you live? It seems to be the new "it" name here lately.

Finn is an adorable name. My fiance and I are debating names as well. He is really wanting Jackson but i really like the way you spelled it because he wants to call him Jax for short so thats perfect :)

My daughters first grade teacher had a son and named him Finn. I think its an ADORABLE name for a little boy, as I was considering myself if I have a boy to incorporate Finn into his name somewhere. :)

It's not wrong to be hurt.  I wouldn't change your name because of it though. My grandmother told me just before she died that she hated the name I had picked out for my daughter. The point is, there will always be someone who doesn't like your name, although most aren't rude enough to say so. I hated ally nephews names when I first heard them (although I never would have said so) but now I know them and love them and their names are a part of them so I love it too.
