Road trip

I was wondering if anyone has been told not to take a long road trip (12 hrs into the mountains) after 32 weeks?

I emailed my doctor but she hasn't replied.

I have no family and no help out here in Vegas so my kids, our dogs, cat and fish and.I are going to drive to Florida beginning of june, when I am just 5 weeks shy of my due date. That way ill be closer to family and have help, especially if I need another csection.

I'll be traveling to Virginia from New York next month for a camping trip. I'm 28 weeks pregnant and my doctor told me I should be just fine, but just incase, make arrangements for transportation to the nearest hospital if something does happen.

Be aware of the elevation though. It could affect the baby's oxygen level. Otherwise a road trip would be fine as lkd97229 says;)

I've heard (in general, not from my dr. though) that it's fine to take road trips, but you want to get out and walk around every couple of hours to avoid blood clots or swelling in your legs.
